Vitamin is it Important?

Vitamins are complex compounds that are needed by the body. Although it is needed in small amounts, it has a very important role as a determinant of health, and helps regulate or process activities in the human body, namely growth and metabolic processes.

There are 2 types of vitamins, namely water-soluble (vitamins B and C) and fat-soluble (vitamins A, D, E, K).THE FUNCTIONS OF VITAMINS IN OUR BODY ARE:

1. Vitamin B
• B1 (Thiamin) plays a role in energy metabolism, required for growth, appetite and nerve function.
• B2 (Riboflavin) plays a role in respiration.
• B3 (Niacin) plays a role in fat synthesis, nerves, digestion and skin health.
• B6 (Pyridoxine) helps the metabolism of amino acids and fatty acids, helps the formation of red blood cells.
• B12 (cyanocobalamin) plays a role in fatty acid amino acids, helps tissue systems and plays a role in growth.
2. Vitamin C
Helps the collagen system, strengthens blood vessels, helps iron absorption and accelerates wound healing.3. Vitamin A
Play a role in eye health, maintain healthy epithelial tissue and skin.
4. Vitamin D
Plays a role in the growth of bones and teeth, helps the immune system, affects the absorption of calcium and phosphorus.5. Vitamin E
Is a powerful antioxidant, slows aging, protects red blood cells and strengthens the immune system and prevents CHD.6. Vitamin K
Play a role in the process of blood clotting. If there is a deficiency (deficiency) of vitamins, it causes the body's metabolic processes to be disturbed so that the body becomes sick. Therefore, vitamin intake needs to be maintained so that there is no excess or deficiency by conducting laboratory tests. Laboratory tests can help detect vitamin deficiency or excess which will cause toxicity in the body. Besides that, it can help diagnose types of anemia or other diseases, even laboratory results can help give the right dose to people who are deficient in vitamins.BIBLIOGRAPHY
